Toronto’s luxury loop, Bay to Yorkville. Swagger plus respect. Community first. You are not crashing a wedding. You are using a room the house already opened — then you leave it nicer.
This is not a heist guide. If the door is a drink, you buy the drink. If the door is dinner, you sit down. If the door is a keycard, you do not have a door. Staff are humans. Bowls are not content. The map stays useful only if the rooms stay open.
The walk-in code
Four rules. Memorize them.
Walk in like you belong. Buy the coffee, the drink, or the plate if that is the door. Do not sneak past security.
Do not trash the room. Leave it nicer than you found it. Paper on the roll. Sink dry. Pride optional, mess not.
Do not film bowls. No stall selfies, no hardware close-ups, no “review” that is just a toilet on camera.
Treat staff like humans. Ask once, take the no, tip like you meant to be there. Community first, or the loop closes.
The rooms
81 Bay St, 4th Floor · CIBC Square · Financial
Jacobs & Co. Steakhouse
Access: dine · Bidet: unknown
The real address is 81 Bay Street, fourth floor, CIBC Square — between Union and the arena, not the old Brant Street room. Michelin, OpenTable, and the house all say the same thing. We do not guess streets.
How you walk in. You are a diner. Book the table, or sit the piano bar if they are seating you. CIBC Square is not a public mall washroom. Do not wander the towers hunting a stall.
What to order. A steak, a Caesar they still make tableside, a drink at the marble bar while the piano works. The house is dry-aging and popovers, not a secret hallway.
The room. Restaurant washrooms for people who are eating. We have no public stall map and no washlet source. Bidet stays unknown. One review said the washrooms were very clean. That is hygiene, not a Toto.
Respect. You paid for the chair. You do not film the bowl. You leave the fourth floor looking like you were never the problem.
Access: drink · Bidet: unknown · No washlet source
This is the enterable luxury room. Not a sneak. d|bar sits inside Four Seasons Hotel Toronto — cocktail bar, lounge, street-level energy, Daniel Boulud on the tin. The hotel’s own FAQ says it is open to hotel guests and local visitors. You do not need a room key. You do need to be a guest of the bar.
How you walk in. Front door of the hotel, into d|bar. Buy a drink. Reserve if dinner is busy; walk-ins are welcome when they have a seat. Staff can refuse non-patrons. That is the door. It is not Cloud 9, not guest floors, not past security with a confident nod and empty hands.
What to order. A cocktail. A glass of wine. Something from the all-day menu if you are hungry. Afternoon tea exists. Late night exists. The point is the tab, not the costume.
The room. Lounge washrooms for people who are at d|bar. AccessTO documented an accessible washroom off the lounge — automatic door, large stall. That is access, not a washlet. Bidet unknown. We do not invent hardware.
Respect. You bought the drink. You do not tour the hotel. You do not film the bowl. You treat the host like a person who can close this door tomorrow.
Best dressed-up walk-in bidet chance on the map. Chance is the word. An unofficial writeup mentioned high-tech Japanese toilets in the lobby. Guest-room Toto talk is rumor and guest-only. The official Shangri-La site does not list Toto. We are not upgrading a rumor into gold.
How you walk in. Buy a lounge drink. You are a lounge guest. You are not a room guest. Those are different keys.
What to order. A drink in the lobby lounge. Sit with it. That is the whole trick.
The room. Lobby / lounge washrooms if they let patrons through. We do not publish a floor plan we do not have. Hardware stays rumored.
Respect. Dress like you meant the lounge. Do not go hunting guest-floor washlets. Do not film anything porcelain.
Best true walk-in lobby WC in the core. Railway-hotel bones, Front Street, Union next door. This one does not require a cocktail to exist — and you still do not treat it like a truck stop.
How you walk in. Through the lobby. Public house, when it is open as a public house. If someone is working the floor, you are still a guest of the building, not a tourist of the plumbing.
What to order. Nothing required. A coffee or a drink in the lobby bars if you want to belong a little louder. The pin does not make you buy. The code still says leave it nicer.
The room. Lobby washrooms. No washlet source. Bidet is no. We are not going to pretend a century of chandeliers hid a Washlet.
Respect. This is the one everyone can find. That is why it has to stay clean. Do not film. Do not camp. Do not make the next person regret the pin.
Access: guest · Bidet: confirmed · Keycard. Do not plan a walk-in.
Nobu Hotel washlets are real and they are behind a keycard. The pin says do not plan a walk-in. We are saying it again, in a bigger font of attitude: you do not have this room unless you are staying.
Nobu restaurant next door at 25 Mercer is dine. Restaurant WCs are unconfirmed as washlets. Eating there does not unlock the hotel. Different building, different door, different story.
Respect. Do not loiter the elevator. Do not test the keycard reader for sport. Community first includes knowing when the map says no.
The loop is small on purpose. Financial, Yorkville, a kick west to Ace and a hard stop at Nobu. If a house wants you, they already told you how: a table, a glass, a key. If they did not, keep walking. The map is a community, not a costume.
